Awesome, for just the fact that he clearly knew the music and that he kept it up for more than four minutes (an eternity to wave your arms or for a toddler to continue any activity) — also note that the film was spliced, so we didn’t even get the full performance.
I’m a a sucker for giggling kids anyway.
Thanks for posting.
Wow! What an emotive little boy. He’s in time for much of the piece, and he anticipates swells and tempo changes. He’s clearly been practicing. When I was that age I just kind of flailed and jumped to music with no sense of rhythm.
Fantastic! What a talent! Although about half way in I did remark to DH “Someone needs to get that child a tissue” and sure enough, there goes the sleeve…Good to know that even precocious children are still grotty
I loved it right up to the end. This kid was having a fantastic time. You don’t get that kind of style through talent alone. You get it though having a life where this kind of music is loved, listened to, and mommy or daddy or grandpa is a conductor. Nobody can force this kind of enthusiasm on a kid. He may never be famous, or maybe he will, I don’t know–but his life will be enriched.
Nope, you can’t get this kind of love with “let’s just get back to the three r’s” kind of attitude.

He’s better than some of the professional conductors I’ve played under!

This is wonderful! I hope his parents encourage his music education! I was impressed by the emotion shown on him face! BRAVO!
I could have used him at my gig last Saturday!
I thought this was going to be about a car! (Mini Maestro = well know 70′s British car)
