Wow, that’s so awesome. When it was said that he was sixteen I nearly spit my coffee — he doesn’t look sixteen at all! And obviously talent far, far beyond his years. Good for him.

That is the most amazing thing I’ve seen or heard in ages. Some people are simply born with a gift – he’s one of them. Beautiful

Amazing

Reminds me a bit of Susan Boyle a couple of years ago.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I loved it as much as I loved Susan Boyle on Britain’s Got Talent. I suspect I will keep coming back to this one as I go back to hers.

His name is Shooka, he has a cool hat, and is 16 and lives in a town that doesn’t even have a pub, and he just did THAT. Wow. I can’t lie, sometimes I skip Fridays on this website, because usually the videos are something I have stumbled across already…but I am really really glad I checked the page today!

He kinda looks like Orlando bloom…

You know what’s really funny? Britians got talent, Australia, etc. they all are far more entertaining than america’s got talent. Does anyone else who watches these shows feel that way? I just feel like people abroad have a larger range of talents whereas the people of america… sing.

For the love of all that is good and beautiful, please, will some wealthy person out there offer this kid a full ride scholarship to a conservatory!

Gosh, I’d be terrified to teach this young man. You’d have to be so careful not to lose that brilliant spontaneity.

Yellow Rose: I second that notion, but if that happens, I hope whatever conservatory it’d be would not choke out the natural talent and beauty of his music.

Friggin’ A, this boy needs to be recorded at once! I can’t even process how brilliant he is, and I honestly think that a lot of this incredible talent comes from simply having never been taught music, so there’s absolutely no influence but his own. In other words, his musical “ignorance” is exactly what makes him so great. Love this so much!!

Hey if anyone is still reading this blog! I just wanted to let you know that Chooka Parker has continued on from Australia’s Got Talent despite not winning that show.

He has released a CD called No Worries! which is available from his website http://www.chookaparkermusic.com and he has been performing in many states in Australia.

Two weeks ago excitement about Chooka reached a peak when he performed at the Sydney Opera House and won a musical award – Musicoz People’s Choice Award 2012.

Cheers
