“There are some basic, fundamental rules to life and personal relationships- and that the poised will someday be victorious over the tacky heathens of the world!”
Oh that’s so sweet! If only all flights were like that.

I love this! Hope they play it when I go from Oz to Nz.

OH! NZ… how I wish I was flying to NZ over the holidays! They are really gearing up for the release of The Hobbit!
My friend was saying that Wellington airport had a big statue of Gollum.

Now that’s a safety lecture I would happily watch. 🙂
I love how one of the dwarves had a 20 sided die. The whole thing was great but that just got a big giggle out of me.

Director Peter Jackson makes a cameo in the safety video as he is the one that put the “ring” on and turns invisible.

This one’s been doing the rounds on humour sites here in Oz for awhile now. My fave part has to be the cameo by Peter Jackson, donning his “Precious”.
My husband loves the row of baddies who are all peeved they’ve got to switch off their electronic devices. (I think Sauron goes so far as to make a rude hand gesture, but I’m not sure.)
CAN’T WAIT for the new Hobbit film!

I feel real sorry for the next advertising company that gets a contract with air NZ.

If you’re not easily offended by the possibility of nudity (you don’t see any body parts thanks to camera angles and body paint, but the actors are actually partially naked) look up the Air NZ safety video ‘nothing to hide’. It was the first ‘funny’ one they made, and it’s great 🙂

The great thing about this as that once it starts rolling, EVERYONE will be watching this video, just to see what all the laughing is about. And that means better safety for all.
I really hate flying with people who ignore all the safety instruction. In an emergency, they’re going to be causing so much trouble with their panic and “What do I do?” gibbering. Thus, an engaging training video makes the flight much safer for everyone on board.

Air New Zealand has a history of doing fabulous safety videos. Here’s an older one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iaTEgoezNQ&feature=related
