In the media photos covering Peter Jackson’s 2 hour stroll along the red carpet interacting with fans at the premier of the movie, The Hobbit, in New Zealand, there front and center is the youngest daughter of a friend of mine and one of my daughter’s friends, Katie, with Peter Jackson.
This was taken right after Sir Peter Jackson had posed for a photo with Katie. There is a certain member of my LOTR/Hobbit fanatic family that is gnawing on her knuckles in profound envy right now. She’ll have to content herself with attending a local midnight opening of the movie in full elf regalia.

I cannot get any greener!! But oh wow, that’s really great, it looks like they are having a wonderful time :D. I hope our cinema here has a midnight showing, I’ve never been to one, and ‘The Hobbit’ will be my first (if it happens).
Aww. Such a great picture. How exciting for her! 🙂
My friend went to New Zealand last year during his leave from deployment to Afghanistan, and visited The Hobbit‘s set. He’s a photographer, so he had to sign a contract stating he couldn’t release the photographs until the movie comes out.
We’re all very excited to see when he posts these pictures!
I’m jealous.
In a very good way. 😀
My son and I will be going to the midnight showing where we live…minus the elf regalia. 😉
This is one of those great bucket list items that you write in right after it happens & immediately cross off!!!!! Best feeling ever!!!!
I, too, just gnawed my knuckles off in envy! How fun was that? I’m glad they got the chance to do that.
