Road Rage Karma

Personally I think both of them are jerks since neither is willing to yield to the other.

At first I thought both of them were jerks, but then I watched the video again in slow motion. It appears that the car on the right had everyone merging in front of it, and had already let two or three cars in. Of course he couldn’t keep doing that forever – he would’ve never gotten where he was going. So yeah, not a jerk in my book, though I would have let the SUV through as soon as I saw that he had no sign of backing down. I don’t argue with crazy on the road. If someone thinks they need to cut in front of me in order to win in life, I’m not going to risk my life and my car to prove them wrong – I just let them in.

Agree with others that the driver with the camera should’ve slowed down and let the SUV merge; however, the SUV probably wouldn’t have accepted that offer anyway. For some reason, he had to merge in front of the sedan no matter what.

” How does the person doing the recording know that the sedan has its windows open?”

Either they noticed this during another portion of the drive, or they are making an assumption that this is why the SUV decided to spray them.

“Why can’t I read even one letter of any licence plate or sign in the video? Are they deliberately fuzzed-out?”

I was able to read some of them (not all) when the vehicles are relatively close. Most dashcams have fair to poor picture quality, partly so the camera itself is less expensive, but also because of the time and space available for storing the picture. High quality video takes longer to write to memory, and consumes more memory; the device would wear out faster, and might not be able to hold as much footage before it has to start overwriting older videos. It’s not fuzzed out; it’s just low resolution.

Does anyone else notice that at the end of the video it appears that the blue car is passing on the left to catch back up to the SUV? It looks like the road rage didn’t end there!
