Another chance to win a book! This is an out of print, used book from my personal bookshelf. From the back cover:
“Civilized Assertiveness gives you the words to stand up for yourself while still being respectful of others.”
Learn six ways to say NO
Confront conflict and uncomfortable situations
Ask for a raise and help at work
Deal with toxic competition at work
You don’t have to be pushy to get what you want!
It’s a great book as evidenced by the fact that the 2003 edition has held its value and the cheapest used book is about $16.00. The book contains situational dialogs to help the reader grasp the concept of polite assertiveness. Dr. Judith S. McClure is an educational psychologist, business consultant and communications expert.

I guess I will enter.
I will give it to my fiancee if I win, although I don’t think she needs it. ^_^
This would be a lovely and much needed addition to my own personal library. I am well known among my friends as the one who has difficulty saying no.
I would love a book!
Yes, please, I would love this book. I have been told my my husband that while I am assertive, I am abrasive. Perhaps this is the book that would help!
Are non-US residents excluded?
Once again, thank you for doing this — I think, if I’m lucky enough to be chosen, this book could do a lot for me.
Thank you for the chance. I would like to be entered into the drawing.
Oh this is great! I once had a young man who wouldn´t leave me alone. His one line, ¨Aww, come on, what are you so afriad of?´ was met with a stern,¨I have every reason to be afraid of a man who doesn´t know the meaning of no.¨
Greatness ahead!
Thank you so much for the chance!
I’d like to enter. However, I live in the Netherlands, so I hope that sending it over won’t be a problem. I can pay for the postage if needed.
I would love to win.
I need this book in my life. I am a people pleaser even when I don’t want to be. I would like to know how to do what I want to do (or not to do) while not alienating others. Thanks for the opportunity.

Oh, wow. Pretty much every Kiwi female should have a copy of this, from the sounds of things.
Kiwi females have two options presented to them. Be butch or be a bitch.
By which, I mean take on everything like a pushy, unemotional man, or be a simperingly sweet backstabber. It’s not fun. The few women who dare to walk outside this model have a damned hard time. I would love some help in this area.
Thanks for the opportunity.
