“There are some basic, fundamental rules to life and personal relationships- and that the poised will someday be victorious over the tacky heathens of the world!”
Bless them, that’s so nice.
What a beautiful family.
Thanks for posting this but would you please not chop onions in my living room next time? Sniff.

Thank you for posting this very touching video.
In 2004, my 3 DDs and their brother planned a surprise for me when he came home from that conflict in Haiti. His sisters were down the hallway when a skinny, darkly tanned, young man opened my front door and stood in the doorway. I didn’t recognize him until he said, ” Mom?”
To have my DS home and me being able to hug him tightly? No words can express the joy .

Gaaah who brought all these chopped onions into my bedroom all of a sudden?! :’)
This was so sweet, I love seeing soldiers do things like this when they come home before their family expects it. <3

That is a nice video. It must have been pretty hard to organize too–the father must have had to know that his family was planning to go swimming at X Location at Y Time, and then plan to get there before that time, hide underwater with his scuba gear on, and pop up at the exact right moment. He must have had to plan the whole thing with the guy behind the camera. So, I say he gets major creativity points for that. 🙂

Someone snuck the wasabi pistachios into my bowl. God bless their family.

LauraLBW, you just made me cry again.
I can’t ever get through a story or video like this without choking up. Ever. As a cop’s wife who has to deal with her husband being gone a lot and all the inevitable small hitches that come with that, I know I couldn’t handle being a military spouse. God bless them all.
