“There are some basic, fundamental rules to life and personal relationships- and that the poised will someday be victorious over the tacky heathens of the world!”
That was awesome!!! I still don’t know what most of that stuff does, though.

If you don’t have problems with an onion in the room by the time this hits halfways you are not a true old school geek.
I don’t know if I admire more, that all this stuff works; (and yes I’ve owned or my SBH has, most of what’s in the video) or the time it took the fellow to do this up. Some of the tech… the scanner I own one still working; my hubby had one of the oscilloscopes….
True geeking for the sake of geeking.

The cats hated it, but I thought it was amusing. How much time did it take to tune the scanner (I think that’s a scanner), much less get the other equipment into harmony? Truly a labor of love.

That’s a scanner, magicdomino. It depends on the commands to move the scanhead around the sounds it makes. I have a still functioning one just like it still in use as a SCANNER.
Now some of that tech is not that old physically but ‘generationally’ it’s quite a ways back. Some of that stuff wasn’t quite WWII surplus (yes my SBH had some stuff that was) and yes.. makes you both feel older, vaguely nostalgic until you remember some of the grief that stuff gave you at the worst time, and things like that.

That was cool and required a lot more talent than most highly paid “musicians” of today.
