My heart aches for this poor guy. Pretty much your worse nightmare ever as Best Man.
aww poor dude. that sucks
What a JERK! He ruined their wedding. If I were that Bride and Groom I would never speak to him again. What an ass!
Right, Jane, because I am sure he totally tripped on purpose.
*eye roll*
If you stand in the middle of a pool, that might happen.
I don’t get this “ruined their wedding”. The paramount point is promising each other to stay together forever. As all scuba weddings show, that can be done while wet too. And the poor guy tripped! It’s not like he shoved her over the edge.
What a bridezilla move, jane. Accidents happen, especially if you chose to stand in the middle of a pool. If it was about the marriage, not the wedding, i’m sure they could laugh it off later.
I’m pretty sure this was staged. I mean, who would have a wedding on a platform in a swimming pool? Isn’t that just a disaster waiting to happen?
NotCinderell - I’m with you. It seems that the priest and bride were standing just inches from the edge!
I know this is a very late comment, but I saw this the other day on youtube on a friend’s page. If you look closely, he doesn’t actually touch her when he falls. Either the bride freaks out and jumps, or the whole thing is staged. I feel sorry for the celebrant for ending up in the drink though.
You can clearly hear the girl holding the camera saying ‘oh my god’ repeatedly, but everybody else just crowds round for a look. The groom doesn’t jump in to help the bride, and I know if I was a bridesmaid I would jump in regardless to help her. Add to that, they can stand easily, the bride wipes her face and then turns to look at the groom, and the camera pans and zooms way too quickly for someone who would be shocked. It smells fishy.
