So I need to put my pics on photobucket or something to get them in?  It will not browse my picture files on my computer.  It only shows an option for a url.

Yes, you will have to host images on another site like photobucket.  Maybe someday when I upgrade to honking huge server of my very own (which costs $$$$$$$) everyone's avatar images can be stored on the ehell.com server but until that day comes, if ever, you'll have to host the images somewhere else.

I host my pics on photobucket - you can choose from a free account (limited bandwith) or pay for a membership (unlimited bandwith). There's also imageshack and several other free programs.  :)

Now, if I could only figure out why my avatar will show up for a second and then disappear......  ???

if you use gmail you have a lot of personal online storage space there that you can upload pics to and then link directly to them (ie from my page it would be something like http://betsywk.googlepages.com/*.jpg) gmail is free to sign up for and you no longer need an invitation.
