Good for you! And good for the woman who acted like a civilized human being!

Isn't it great when you run into someone who does good customer service?
Somewhere I heard or read that the smile you give to someone may be the only thing that feels good in their life that day and can make a difference to them.  I really believe that.  And it's so much easier to be nice than it is to be nasty or rude.
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.

You're lucky that women was so nice! I think technically she could have still had claim on the item and there isn't much the manager could have done.

I could just see her causing a problem. I had already told the manager up front which items i wanted & it was her calling around to find out if we could buy them that caused other people to realize they could get them at all.

Ohhh that IS sneaky!  Good thing the manager was with you, other wise I bet she would have put up a fight.
