It doesn't matter if you're a sports fan, this is a great story!  The vendor tripped & spilled about $1000 into the crowd - on 2 levels of the stadium.  The fans collected it & gave it all back

I think it is sad that something that should be a no brainer (of course people should have returned the money) is seen as such a wonderful thing.  A sad commentary on our society.

I think 'hey look, people returned cash they could easily have absconded with' has been seen as a wonderful thing and newsworthy throughout most of history--not just in our current society.

I agree--human nature hasn't changed ever so honesty versus villiany pretty much is universal over time.
