Someone might name their daughter Salmonella.
Quote from: Bijou on November 13, 2011, 03:09:50 AMSomeone might name their daughter Salmonella. There was a local newspaper article on twins who were ill, called Sam and Ella. It referred t them as Sam and Ella right through the article. Why oh WHY not refer to them as Ella and Sam? Surely someone realised how it sounded?
Pellagra's the actual disease, though, right?
A friend's son used to work with a girl whose name was pronounced "Sha-theed". I'm sure her parents meant well, but they should've re-thought the rather unfortunate spelling... Sh!the@d (with obvious character substitutions!). Poor kid.
