but twice, yesterday.
First time it happened I was ringing out a mom with an adorable little girl in her cart. I was chatting with her about this and that, when another mom, and her son came up behind them.
She says to her son, look your favorite, I'll have to get you some when we go shopping later. Son looks at what mom sees, and says, oooo string cheese, I love string cheese.
The 2 moms talk for a minute while I finish up the transaction. First mom resituates some bags in her cart, turns around and hands the boy a couple pieces of string cheese.
His whole face just lights up, and he says thanks with so much gratitude and surprise. She totally made that young boys day.
Later in the day, I had an older gentleman buy some M&Ms for the children behind him in the line. I heard the mom tell him thanks, and that she appreciated it for them.
It was so refreshing to see and hear such nice people.
