Why does everything look different?

Aaaand, it's back to normal.  I feel like I'm channeling Fry from Futurama: "Huh.  Did everything just taste purple for a second?"

I'm messing around with themes again.  Today through the weekend you'll probably see several different themes pop up.  I'm not digging this cold, sterile look of the forum and am trying to find something a little warmer and cheerful.

What's funny is, this blue is almost the same color as the skin I had set up before all the format changes. What can I say? I like my avatar to coordinate with the site.

I come back and everything's blue again.    I was liking the peach - clearly in the minority though!

I like the "sterile" look, honestly (or at least having this as an option for one of the skins) - it looks less like you're goofing off when someone walks behind you at work and sees you browsing eHell

Nope, me too!  I also turn off the avatars and signatures at work so that if a student or a coworker sees my screen it's all text and looks really important and everything.

Count me in as one who prefers the 'sterile' look. Less animated/sparkly stuff and bright colors = better. I haven't seen a sig since a week after I joined because too many of them were easy eye-catchers for passersby at my office or in cafes.

As someone colour blind, I really like this style, because it is easy to read as we can no longer adjust the look and colour ourselves.
