I thought so too since Paul didn't really want to move south.  I still hope Elizabeth and Warren end up together.

I don't know enough about Warren to know if I prefer him to Paul. I still like the idea of Elizabeth's "Mr. Wright".
Hopefully Elizabeth will at least get some fun helicopter rides while he is around!

AAAAAAHHHHH!

Warren's going to take her to the village a day early, and she's going to catch Paul with her replacement teacher. Want to place any bets about what happens?

I think Paul seems as though he has way to much integrity for that (plus he's way too much of a hottie!)  As if they are real, huh? ;)

I agree that Paul seems to have integrity (though I do think he has his eye on the replacement teacher). But I have this feeling about Anthony, who I can't help but think is such a sweetie, too.

Bumping since this morning's strip is starting to look interesting.

Although if Paul was seeing the replacement teacher, why didn't Gary or any of Liz's other friends say anything earlier.

It should be interesting as the week progresses.

Same here. Poor Liz :( but she WILL have Warren's shoulder there to cry on so I'm sure she'll be fine ::)

I was thinking the same thing - she's going to go up early and catch him with someone else.  Gah.

Gah?  Why Gah?  I never liked Paul.  He always came on so strong, while Warren always sat back and let Liz make up her own mind.

Because I'm tired of Liz's constant love-life issues.  Just once, I'd like to see the girl have a relationship that doesn't get weird ;)

I think I see where this strip is heading.  :'(

Paul will confess that he really didn't want to move south and was holding off breaking up with Liz until after her court stuff was over (he didn't want to distress her more during a really stressful time). Meeting up with childhood sweetheart Susan (the replacement teacher) was the universe's way of telling him that he should stay north.

Liz will be upset and head home. As likeable as Warren is, he is basically Liz's rebound guy. He was there after college jerk Eric broke Liz's heart and he'll be there post-Paul. But traditionally, rebound guys don't turn into THE ONE--and Warren and Liz alwyas had trouble maintain a long distance relationship. So as much as it breaks my heart, I doubt Liz will end up with Warren.

Which leaves Anthony (boo hiss) to pick up the pieces. Even though he views Liz through the eyes of their high school relationship, I can see her regressing back to him since she's had her heart trampled on too many times since they broke up--maybe she'll borrow his rose colored glasses. Plus, he has a house in her parents hometown and a little girl--instant family!

And over all, I can see Lynn manipulating everything to have the whole family remain in Milborough. If Liz gets together with Anthony, she'll be settled in her hometown. And the recent fire has sent Mike and Dee back there as well.

I can see John pushing to sell their house to Mike & Dee so their little family will have a place to grow. And John and Elly can buy that little house down the road that John has wanted for years (he's been mentioning it in his letters forever).

By the time the strip ends, April will be off at college and I can see Lynn wanting to end things with the rest of the family all together (and of course, April will live in Milborough after she becomes a vet--perhaps taking care of all the animals in the families). John & Elly will be retired in the little house down the road, Mike & Dee will be in the family home and Liz & Anthony will be right across town. As much as I personally don't want to see Liz end up with Anthony, I can't imagine the strip going any other way. :(

Man, this is pathetic. I just typed a long detailed prediction of the future of a family that doesn't exist outside the comic page and I'm sucked into their lives like they were real people. Too bad they're not--I'd love to whack Liz with a clue by four before she hooks up with Anthony again.

I think you summed it up precisely- that's exactly where the strip's going   ::) and I am so disappointed, because its so predictable (and what's with all this childhood sweetheart stuff- first michael, now paul and liz)?
Thank goodness I'm not the only one irrated by all this (and when I read today's strip, I immediately thought "I bet someone on e-hell's commented on this!")
