I would guard it jealously as my own personal space that has nothing in it pertaining to trains, airplanes and books about space.  I would have it located within a ten-minute drive of my own home, but perhaps only visible to my eyes... (Can you tell that I am starting to need a break from other human beings?)

WWYD if you knew the exact day that you were going to die?

Depends on how far off it is-- within the next 5 years, I'd probably abandon any long-term goals, and focus on things that will make myself and others happy in the short term. 50+ years in the future? I'd probably go on as I am, and start making preparations as I approach the date. In between, it would depend on exactly how much time I had.

In any case, I'd probably try and get someone to start a betting pool for "the date of purplemuse's death" to amass a large sum of money for whoever gets stuck with any financial responsibilities I leave behind.

What would you do if you woke up one morning to find you had grown a prehensile tail?

Make sure it's of the toy variety and an herbivore.  A foot-long Brontosaurus curled up on the sofa would be so cute and easy to feed.

I wouldn't dare try. As bad as things are, I'm sure meddling would likely make them worse.

And on the history theme, what would you do if you could solve any one mystery from world history?

I'd have to send Mr. Sirius to the store for clothes for me, because he and I are built way differently.

I think I would just keep walking, continuously in one direction, until I got out.  I'd also be scared!  :-[

WWYD in a casino?

Take the free pull on a slot   (often offered to every adult passenger on a cruise ship) and head for a glass of wine at the bar.

Travel as much as possible and explore the literature of other cultures. Maybe enter some sort of diplomatic/trade/service so I could put it to good use.

WWYD if all forms of mechanized transport vanished? (Safely, of course - no plane crashes or anything).

I would walk everywhere locally (which is no different than now) but I would also buy a horse and carriage for the longer hauls.
