Perhaps Time for a New Story Time.

It was a dark and stormy night.

When suddenly, a door slammed and footsteps were heard running down the street.

But they weren't normal footsteps; they were the sound of hoofbeats... Was it a herd of horses?  Or of zebras?

I looked at the house next door in shock, not believing my eyes. A heard of zebras were streaming from my neighbours' front door!

This was decidedly different from the herd of wildebeest that they'd released last week.

Since she was a vet who specialized in exotic species, we were used to strange noises, smells and comings and goings, but this was a bit much.

I watched and waited, with baited breath, for the Drama Llamas I was sure would be following.

Adorned with boas and fancy hats, they did.

And then, in their feathery finery, the drama-llammas all lined up in perfect formation, and challenged the zebras to a Dance Off.

The zebras were terrified, but decided to hold their nerve and do their best.

The head zebra pulled out his whistle and led his troup into an amazing four footed version of Achy Breaky Heart.

But then the Drama Llamas slammed a cassette of The Final Countdown into a boom box.

Over a nearby loud speaker, The Electric Slide blared above The Final Countdown as the wildebeests returned to reclaim their turf!

As still another contingent joined the fray, a  resident of the street  was heard to exclaim, 'It's Huey Lewis and the gnus!'

Town officials were alerted because the clean-up after this could be costly.
