Do two invitations require two RSVPs?
« on: March 13, 2012, 07:27:03 AM »
My cousin invited my family to a birthday party months in advance via Facebook. We were unable to go, and I RSVPed via Facebook. Three weeks out from the party, we received another invitation via email. I'm guessing she did an email version for those who were without FB, and included us since we were on her email list.

Should I have RSVPed again?

I don't think there's any harm in RSVPing a second time. Most likely she just overlooked the fact that you had RSVP'd in the negative on FB, and accidentally added you to the email list.

Has the party happened yet?

If it has and you didn't RSVP a second time, I don't think you've anything to worry about, it was your cousins oversight.

I think you are (were?) fine either way.

it's SO easy to RSVP to an email invite, so why wouldn't you?

And in fact, though you've already given your answer, I'd vote to RSVPing again so that if it turns out to be useful for her, to have all the answers collated in one place, you're being helpful.
