They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha! Ha!

Love it!

My dad has this song on a 45. The B-side is the same song, but played backward! (The record label is even printed backward on that side.)

Don't breed or buy while homeless pets die.  Adopt your soul pet at your local animal shelter.

I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas

We've got tons of Dr. Demento and Spike Jones in rotation on our iPods. This is a favorite, but so are many others on the list.

The Spectrum Song (Disney)

That one just popped up in the rotation yesterday when I was waiting to fly home. Dilly dilly..... dilly.

The Animaniacs singing "The 50 States and their capitals"

Fun AND educational I really impressed my young nephew by singing this one when he was studying state capitals in school.

My favorite goofy Christmas song is "What do you get a Wookiee for Christmas (when he already owns a comb)"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ7vmF2RK00

It seems to be less frequently heard these days, alas. (sigh)  I think The Hippo may have replaced it.

Agree with PPs - the Arrogant Worms rule.

I'm not good at links - but there's also Canada's Really Big!  Burn, Burn, Burn (re the War of 1812) and Carrot Juice Is Murder.

I also love Herman's Hermits - re Henry VIII.  I remember a few years ago we were staying at a lakeside campsite and playing one of their CDs and I said - "it'll be so great going to their concert next month!"  Dh (who was supposed to have ordered the tickets) - "oops"....luckily we were still able to get them but not so great seats.  And of course the only people there under 45 were teenagers who'd been dragged there by their parents.

I love the Arrogant Worms!
