Do I offer $$ compensation for a huge favor from my Aunt/Uncle?

I have paid for some groceries but the next time I'm up there (starting next Thursday), I will follow-through on y'all's suggestions.  I was feeling bad about not offering earlier.

Don't feel bad. You've get a lot of things on your plate and sometimes taking care of yourself means drawing inward a bit. It's really wonderful that you're trying to pass on the compensation to your Aunt and Uncle.

NutMeg:
I agree with VB, don't feel bad. They obviously love you and want to help you as much as they can in this difficult time. I don't think etiquette really applies in this situation. While I think it is the right thing to do to offer them some of the stipend, not doing so immediately is not rude in my opinion. This is a matter between family, not strangers. You and your loved ones can make the rules here. Just do the best you can, and don't feel guilty about whatever your best may be. Your road is going to be hard enough without adding negative feelings to it.

I wish you the best of luck in your fight.

Betelnut:
Thanks VP and NM!
