About 3 weeks ago, my friends and I went out to dinner together. We're all 21-22 years old (important later). We kept changing waiters/waitresses. I got the vibe that they were trying to pass us off to one another because no one wanted to deal with us. I never said it, though, since I had no proof of this. Somehow the converation turned to an usual topic (I think the history of certain English words or something like that) when the final waitress (the fourth total) came to refill our drinks. I jokingly said, "I'm sorry, you walked in to the weirdest part of our whole conversation." She replied with, "Oh, that's ok, you're in high school right?" In unision we all said, "No, we're in college" and I added, "Actually, we're all college seniors." She stuttered, "Oh, sorry," and walked off. We left her a big tip since she was "stuck" with us, she did a great job, and I felt bad for embarassng her (plus we're big tippers anyway).
After her comment, I was positive no one wanted to get "stuck" with us "teenagers."
