Gosh, I hope you didn't really see one like that. That'd be extremely cruel. Funny ones are one thing, but threatening to kill the child is a bit over and above what's needed. (I'm referring to the "Candy Man"/Pixie Stixs incident where he laced Pixie Stix with poison for those in other countries.)
See I would have thought that sign was funny but then I've never heard of that story before today. I looked it up on Snopes and while the main story is fales (the main story is about poisoning Halloween candy) there was in fact a man who killed his kid with poisoned pixie stix. I had never heard that story though.
