Neighbor parking question (long) UPDATE pg. 2

--- Quote from: caterlaw on May 03, 2012, 01:52:44 PM ---Here's the plan of action (not just for the party but in general): today was trash day and yesterday afternoon J had his trash out long before the 6pm you-can-put-your-trash-out-now time proscribed by our city. And it was in the road, blocking teh street in front of his house from the bumper of R's car to the property line. So, I called our councilwoman who we met at a community function not too long ago and expressed all of my concerns, using J's trash day antics as a base. I told her about the party and that I would advise guests against parking in front of J's property, but obviously can't gurantee someone (even just another neighbor) will not park there, or that J will not throw a fit. She is going to send a police officer out door-to-door on my street to "remind" us about the trash rules and how we can't block parking as it is a public street. As J works from home, he should be there when the officer pops by. So it won't look directed at him, but will hopefully reiterate the point that the street does not belong to him. I also started a J & R document in Word to keep track of everything. Fingers crossed!
ETA: The thought of being trapped in a place where Celine Dion is singing disco off-key for all eternity is worse than anything I came up with since this all started. And will be my happy thought from here on out!

That sounds like a sound plan, caterlaw! It's done when he's not kicking up a fuss and ostensibly's about blocking the street with his garbage.

May he be cast down into whatever level of eHell has Celine Dion singing disco off-key for all of eternity.

Man that's mean

I think he should be cast down to the level that endlessly repeats Britney Spears, the Spice Girls, and Justin Bieber. With the occasional "Achy Breaky Heart" marathon for variety.

No, don't play that song! That Achy Breaky song!
caterlaw:
Yesterday when DH and I were outside doing yardwork, neighbor A (the nice one who witnessed the tail end of J's rant last fall) came over to tell us that she ran into C from down the street and C mentioned that she had come home one evening recently (I think last week) to find that her immediate neighbors had guests. So C parked her car in an open space in front of J's home. When she went out the next day there was a nasty note on her car. So she called our city councilwoman too! A told C all about the issues DH and I have had with J. C was concerned about the possibility of the situation escalating and thought the officer visit was a good idea. We haven't seen an officer yet, so I am going to email councilwoman again to see what is going on.
In a way, I'm happy DH and I aren't the only victims. Hopefully with more support, something can be done about J.
Hopefull:
caterlaw I think it is time for some cameras. Make sure they can record!! BTW when is the party??
