Oh, I forgot to mention the favors! Toward the end of the party I took the bin outside and walked around the playground with it, asking each PARENT to pick out a trinket for their little one. That seemed to work a whole lot better than having a free-for-all with the kids. No tears and everyone was very happy with their parting gifts!
