Yesterday I drove past an electronic school sign announcing two National Merit Scholars by name.  With the abbreviation, I read it as 'Susie Smith and Joan Jones Not Merit Scholars.'  I thought that was pretty mean!

Skimming the newspaper this evening, I saw an ad that seemed to be advertising "Amazing Breed-ing Classes!" A second glance told me that they were actually BEADING classes.

When I drive to my parents house, I pass a large building signed as "KDM Shoplifters", and think 'I don't think they should advertise that.'

Eventually it dawns on me that its actually shopfitters.
I wouldn't mind if I didn't read it wrong every time. ( I blame the 5 hour drive )

I cannot say the word "Shopfitters".  It comes out "shoplifters" Every Time.

I can say shop.
I can say fitters.
I say "shoplifters".

The other, my DH asked me to bring him home Taco Bell.

They have a sticker in the corner of the drive thru window that has a picture with a few of the sauce packets with writing on them.  With the particular font and the angle from a low car it looks like they all read "(I can't express myself without swearing) me" (the f word for those that didn't figure it out)...what they actually read is "Pick me".  Oops  :P

Just scanning down the list of threads in the Technology forum and saw this "Where is the line between sharing and bragging?", unfortunately my mind put a double gg into sharing in place of the r while keeping bragging as it was.  That would have been an interesting Facebook moment.

Had this one yesterday.  I was reading a request for an x-ray, and the patient's history said, "Possible retained item."  I read that the first time as "Possible retained ham."
