Was this after the wedding?  Because if it was, I would have had the come to Jesus meeting right there.  It is definitely time to start speaking up and letting her know you're not going to put up with this mess anymore.

Start saving up some new phrases for any interaction with this ...woman... And remember that you can still be polite while never, NEVER again putting up with her nasty attitude.
