How much is petrol/gas where you are?

I remember when we first converted to the metric system and gas switched to being sold in litres instead of gallons (~4.5 L to the Imperial gallon).  A gallon cost about $0.80 at that time, I think.  My uncle said that we'd end up paying more for a litre of gas than we were paying for a gallon.  We all scoffed at him.  Not anymore.  Running around $1.20/L this week, although with the long weekend coming up, it is probably higher now.

I posted early in the thread that gas was between 3.41 and $3.59 in my town.

Now it's down to $3.31 and $3.41.

Back in the mid-70s, I had to take the bus to jr. high. We caught the bus at an intersection that had three gas stations.

The gas stations used to have price wars. One day, one of them would lower the price to $.25 a gallon. The next day, another one would lower theirs to $.24 a gallon.

$3.49 - $3.59,  The lowest I've seen it has been $3.19 in the past few weeks. that didn't last.

In the midlands, U. K it's roughly £1. 30 a litre. Really expensive.

It's about that on the south coast UK. I had a voucher for 6p off a litre last week and I was so excited thinking £1.24 a litre was a really good deal until I remembered the days of less than £1 a litre

Tonight, the gas is $3.389/gallon in MyTinyTown in southcentral Kentucky, U.S.A.  Last week it had been $3.199/gallon.

It's down to $4.17 on the Big Island, Hawaii. A month ago it was about $4.89.

I filled my car up this evening and I think I was at £1.32/litre and total cost a little over £55.  I remember when I passed my driving test £20 would fill my car up (different car to the one I have now but similar size).  I remember there being outrage when we were headed for £1/litre and everyone said it would never happen because the pumps couldn't go above 99.9p/litre, I guess they fixed that.
