I must attract unparented children

This situation is over with but I had to share something the happened to me yesterday. My town is currently hosting the district all stars baseball tourney. Our local team was playing at 7 last night so my husband, our oldest son, his gf and I decided to go watch the game. I had got to watch my nephew play his first ever all star game on Saturday and was looking forward to getting to cheer for the home team last night. We packed up a cooler full of drinks and threw in some fresh fruit so I wouldn't blow my diet on concession stand food.
So, I tossed my blanket on the ground and was laying there reading an e-book and eating from a bag a cherries. A lil girl (came to discover she was 5 but would have guessed her a bit younger) just plopped down beside me and asked what I was eating. She wanted to try a cherry and I told her we had to ask her mom first so she yells "Mom can I have a cherry?" and when I saw who she was yelling at my stomach sank. I know her mom from football she has a boy that is now 14 and one that is a month younger than my baby (12) so I had spent many miserable years with her. She has never made her kids mind and it caused many a probs at football practices and games for the coaches. The last time I had saw her though the little girl was barely 2 and her youngest was 1. Anyway, Christy walked over and said sure. So Kee tried a cherry and hated it. She asked what else I had and I let her try some fresh blackberries son & gf had picked for me that day. She hated that too. On it went with watermelon and canteloupe and back to cherries until she finally informed she only liked strawberries and wanted to know where they were. (Oops, nobody told me to pack them for her). She kept wanting to go back to the cherries and I said no. Then Christy pipes up with "Who knows she might start to like them" and was told that at $4.99 a pound she would have to provide the tasting menu on her own so she shrugs.
A few minutes later Christy asked Kee if she was just going to stay with me because she needed to get back to the other side of the park where she left her stuff and find Shaun (now 3-4) because she hadn't seen him in 20 mins!! I sort of stuttered and finally said that wasn't wise because I was less than 30 feet from the road with the parking lot right behind me and I wasn't up for watching a child since I was looking forward to the game. Christy huffed and took her with her.
About 20 mins later Kee is back and demanding concession stand money when I refused she laid on top of me (I was on my side) and started throwing a tantrum. I moved her and got up and took her by the hand to go find her mother. I handed her over to Christy with an explanation and told her that once again I wasn't up for watching her child. Kee was still crying about money and Christy looked at me straight faced and said "With 2 older brothers rough housing her she is used to fighting for what she wants. Most people know how to deal with her." After a moment of stunned silence I looked back at her and said "I am not used to young children begging strangers for money, accosting me when denied and for that matter if I knew one of my children acted that way and I had to take them out in public before I had corrected the problem I would have kept them glued to my side." I'm sure Christy and her mom talked about me for the rest of the game but good grief parent your own darn child I won't end up ticked off enough to call you out on not doing so.

Okay now that I have picked my jaw up from the floor!!! Sheesh. Why in the world do people like Christy have kids if they don't feel like looking after them?

Honestly (and I heard it straight from her when she had the 2 in a row) every time her boyfriend threatened to leave she got pregnant. She had to have an emergency C and hysterectomy with the last little boy. The bf was gone and married to someone else before he turned 1.
