Friend thinks she's "congratulating" me
Sharnita:
"I'd rather you congratulate me in the anniversary of my new marriage/graduation/otther positive milestone since the divorce"
I think that your request is perfectly reasonable
twiggy:
"Unanniversary? What do you mean Friend?"
"you know, this is the anniversary of the day that you married Ex"
"Oh, is that today? I think you're right, I didn't even remeber. Did you see that article in the paper about how lighting cats on fire shortens their life? Oh heck, I have to go, the cat's on fire again."
katycoo:
Is it possible her diary has become confused and she believes its the anniversary you share with your current DH?
I would just reply back with "What? My anniversary is in September" or some such.
Judah:
"I've asked you before not to do this. I feel very strongly that a divorce is nothing to celebrate."

I'm sure that IS what she meant. But I still don't like it.

I don't blame you, I wouldn't either. It doesn't really matter if her intentions are good if you've asked her repeatedly to stop and she still does it. I'd find it disrespectful for several reasons.
