Insomniacs unite!

Tonight is even worse because i had to take an allergy pill at about 12:30 so now i am wired beyond belief.

I am somewhat comforted by the fact that Mr. HGish is still up playing XBox ... and i rationalize that the time i spend on e-hell at 0:dark30 will take away from the time i spend checking it while i am at work.

There was a poster with the sig saying it is always 3 am to an insomniac. I think i live that quote.

--modified to add: I think a late night chat-room would be wonderful. Since we have global membership the time would be off some, though. Is there a chatter on this forum? I didn't think the one on the old forum didn't get used much.
I'm glad you like it! :)
I don't have regular sleep hours, so I kind of feel like that most of the time. I should probably be in bed right now, in fact, but I'm eating chocolate and dancing along to my music, so I'll be up for a while yet (the cat is not impressed. She wants to go to bed, lol).

A chat room would be neat! I think you are right, I don't recall the old one being used much. But if we did use it, the insomniacs in one time zone could chat with the day posters in another, and vice versa.
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.

Add me to the list of night owls.  It's not uncommon for me to be up at 4 or 5 AM and to sleep til noon.  I get alot of deer in headlight looks for that.  I just don't understand why people think it's so abnormal.  Some people even insinuate I'm lazy.  Has this happened to any of you night owl's before?  I am a firm believer that people are wired as either an early bird or a night owl.

Yes, that has definitely happened to me! People seem to think you're either lazy or nuts. When i used to live at home & work the late night shift at a diner it wasn't unusual for me to be getting home from work & tumbling into bed around 5am. On weekends i would wake up to my dad screaming,"It's 10 o'clock in the morning! Why the H is she still in bed!?" He really thought that by 8 am i should have been up & ready to start the day & was apalled that i wasn't. I did try to explain to him why i was still sleeping, but something about sleeping that late just irked something at his core.

I  actually really like that time of day right before the sun starts to rise everything gets a beautiful silvery sheen. I love watching leaves blow in the breeze looking shimmery around 4:30 am.
It's alright, man. I'm only bleeding, man. Stay hungry, stay free, and do the best you can.

I get the same thing.  My entire family were morning people and I don't know where I got this nightowlish trait.
