It's Batman!

Other DC eHellions may have seen this story, but I just love it.

Batman was pulled over in DC recently for not having a license plate on the Batmobile.  A couple of reporters decided to find out who this guy was, and why he'd turned his car into the Batmobile.  And dressed up like Batman.  The ensuing story is below, and it's really heartwarming.  Kudos to the guy for using his money to help make children's lives happier.

That is fantastic.  I really love that his son sometimes is Robin.
The best is the little boy whose mom took him out to see the car and her answer when the little guy wanted to help Batman fight bad guys.  (Yup, go read the story)

Oh and my need for kleenex...spring allergies are early this year...really.

I liked the explanation that Robin was home, studying for the SATs - because, really, even super heroes need to get a good education.

You never know what will come in handy when fighting crime..........or finding a day job to support yourself.  Not everyone can be super rich, too!

gingerzing, I loved that too.

A local radio station was doing call ins today for "What would you do with the MegaMillions Jackpot...."  One guy called in and said he'd buy a red Lamborghini, get a Robin costume, and go around to hospitals with Batman.   :)

I've seen him!!!!

Our route to and from visiting the ILs takes us right through Baltimore and around DC.  One Sunday, we were driving along and noticed this really awesome car.  Then we noticed the Bat ears on the driver and, as we passed, the mask and upper part of the costume. 

I can't wait to share this with Oogydad.  It's nice to know there's something good behind it.  And, boy, had we wondered.
