To the OP:  The things people do or let their kids do don't surpirse me anymore.  Yesterday in my city I saw a small boy "going" in a public flower bed while his parents (or the people I assumed were his parents) ignored him.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't TOLD him to do it.

Once upon a time my mother's cousin had a little boy. when he was freshly potty trained and they were out in public she taught him it was okay to pee on the tires of cars. Fast forward to his big sister's high school graduation. TONS of family sitting together in the bleachers. Little boy tells his grandma he has to pee. Grandma tells him he has to wait (the graduates were walking @ the moment). The next thing his mom (how is sitting on the row in front of grandma and little boy) knows, she is feeling something hot and wet streaming down her back.

that's right, her son, who was not taught he had to wait to get to thebathroom to pee, had decided to pee down her back in the middle of graduation.

Poetic Justice, I say.

This is for you, ehellion. I can top the sugar one. I have seen on more than one brand of bottled water the following: "Ingredients: Water". Now maybe I can understand the possible misunderstandings about sugar - maybe. But to not realize that bottled water consists of water takes a special kind of stupid.

Sometimes some brands of bottled water contains more than just water, hence the need for labeling. Dasani is one that adds something else to make it taste more refreshing, although I can't remember what the ingredient is.

Salt. Since I'm on a low sodium diet, I can't have Dasani. Made me grumpy when I realized that :).

I think my favorite sign was one about a mile into the hiking trails of a park, posted next to a stream:

"NO BIKES ON LAND"

(Err, so you can bike in the river?  And how did you get here with a bicycle if you weren't biking already?)

I also loved the "Pedestrian Casualty Reduction Signal Timings Experiment" signs in London.  Gee, look!  When we give pedestrians the "walk" sign at the same time the cars have a green light, the casualties go up!  Cool!

I love the sign we have, coming up the mountain:  HORSE CAMPING ONLY

It tickles me, every time I pass it.  I can just envision horses roasting marshmellows by a campfire, while their humans are corralled.

The one that tickled me was off to the south of the road to Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.

"Bridal Path"

I never did see a horse in a BWWD and veil, though..............

When I was younger (maybe ten or eleven or twelve), I attended Aqua Camp at the YMCA, which was a half-day camp where we did water sports in the pool--water polo, synchronized swimming, diving, snorkelling, and sometimes, we'd play games in the pool.  Anyway, on the first day, we drew posters of pool safety rules, and one little girl, who was really too young to attend the camp (she must have been about six, and I think she had ADHD or sometime) decided to do "No riding horses in the pool" for her drawing.
