And YOU are in Human Relations???
(1/1)
CarolinaMom:
New here and had to sign up just to have a place to vent about these kinds of things. I work in a graphics business and just had a man come in here to place an order for a banner for a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day event. This guy was a member of the Human Relations Commission and I have never encountered someone as jerky as he. He wanted my opinions on the banner and every opinion that I gave was greeted with a complete eye roll and an exasperated "That's NOT what I want." When I would ask what he wanted I was told "You're the professional, you tell me." Oh I could have told him what needed!!! >:( Complete Jerk!! Then he starts griping about the committee that wants all this done and how they've never had these GD signs before and never had to have a GD banner and all this other GD stuff. I was thinking "Oh how The Reverend King would be so impressed that YOU were handling this event."

I would be so tempted to give him some scratch paper and crayons, and told him to have at it, he could do it himself then. But I know that's not good customer service ;D.

He probably didn't want to be there making said banner, so he was in a negative frame of mind and woulnd't have been happy with even the most beautiful banner on earth (which is probably what your suggestion was!). What a grump. Let's try to chalk it up to him having a bad day, with maybe the possibility of him preferring the money was being put towards things other than a banner, which is why he was grump about being there.
Edited to add that nothing excuses his GD'ing though.
