Argh. I had an awesome 3 day weekend in NYC this weekend, but I didn't write at all. I am way behind. I still should finish on time, but it is going to require some buckling down...Wish me luck!

I am very much behind but at the same time, so much farther along than any of my story ideas have ever gotten before.

My son's surgery is this week, which is why I was hesitant to try this year, but I am glad I've tried, and I plan to still fit in 50 words here and there--towel isn't thrown in quite yet. Laptop is going to the waiting room with me, even if the spacebar is going out on it so 10 words turn into one.

The spacebar thing would drive me nuts! I think you should get extra credit for persistance in the face of that.

I have 3,000 words to go to finish nano, but probably about another 40,000 to finish the novel. I bit off more than I planned this year.

The spacebar thing just started last week....if I could bring along my desktop, I know I could get a lot of writing done. I went over plot points w/DH last night, I have plenty to get me through plus; just need the time to get it down.

I did 700 words yesterday. Big whoop. lol

I'm way behind. At this stage I'm aiming to finish with just over 20,000 words. Still, that'll be 20,000 words that I didn't have before November.

Oh, thank God! I finished about half an hour ago, but while I was scrambling it to submit, my computer froze and I had to restart. Unfortunately, I ended up saving the scrambled version over the right one. I just managed to get my original back. Luckily only the first half had been scrambled, so I didn't lose anything.

Now I can actually celebrate!

(I did kind of cheat, though, since it's not all one story. I wrote part of a story, and then a bunch of one-shots.)

Oh course, I really need to go back and fix a bunch of parts. There were scenes that I started and just didn't finish, so I skipped on to the next part, but I did get everyone to their HEA. I think I need to take a break before I go back and start editing.

Now maybe I can work on all those plot bunnies that I ruthlessly buried when I was working on this story,...
