My daughter requested cheesecake instead of traditional cake for her birthday this year.  She turned 6.  My 4 year old loves it as well.

If this is a special occasion, you better know your audience first.  As a kid, I hated cheesecake on principle.  Cheese plus cake could not possibly equal good, I didn't care how much red fruity stuff you put on it.

Cheese is indeed chemically addictive. The heroin comparison is apt, as cheese has opiate qualities. (Google casomorphin to get more information.) Interesting, isn't it?

Anyway, why not give 'em the good stuff? If they get used to the good cheeses, you won't find them eating Cheez Whiz straight from the can. Well, hopefully not.
