Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts

6 cans Orange Crush soda
2 cans Eagle Brand Milk
1 small, flat can of crushed pineapple, drained.

Pour all ingredients into your ice cream freezer and stir. Freeze as usual, but this is a VERY "soft serve" sherbet. It will not freeze completely and will be very slushy

Easy fruit ice cream (WORDGEEK)

(Works without an ice cream maker)

For two servings:
1 cup milk (any variety - soy, skim, full-fat, light cream) OR 1 package soft tofu
1 frozen banana
1/2 to 1-1/2 cups frozen berries
Sweetener to taste
Flavour essence (optional)

Puree in a blender. Serve as is (soft) or stick in the freezer for a harder ice cream.

For stronger-flavoured berries, as blackberries, use the lower amount of fruit. For strawberries or other mild fruit, use the larger amount.

Cherry Sorbet (VENUS193)

1 lb Cherries, pitted
1/2 lb strawberries
2 shots Cherry Kjafa

Zap in blender for 5 seconds; you just want to chop the fruit, not puree it. Place in ice cream maker and follow instructions with unit.

No sugar required. Do not use more Cherry Kjafa than this or it will not freeze.

From graceh9:

equal parts maple syrup, heavy cream and milk -- fabulous maple ice cream -- you can fold nuts in before putting the mix into the freezer
after finishing with the ice cream freezer. I find that if I put a corning type souffle dish in the freezer so it is ice cold, that the ice cream sets up better -- plastic or room temperature dishes tend to melt at the edges before the ice cream sets up

This is a favorite of my kids and WAY easy to make...

1 small pkg of Oreo cookies, crushed
1 stick of margarine, melted
1/2 gal vanilla ice cream, soft
1 - 12 oz jar hot fudge sauce
1 - 11 oz jar salted peanuts, chopped
1 - 8 oz container Cool Whip, thawed

Mix together cookies & margarine.  Set aside 1 cup for topping.
Press remainder into 9x13 pan
Spread ice cream over crust - freeze
Spread hot fudge sauce over ice cream
Sprinkle with peanuts
Spread Cool Whip over peanuts
Sprinkle oreo crumb mixture on top
Freeze for several hours (overnight is best)
