Is capslock really necessary?

I know it's popular to dislike texting, but the truth is that if someone enjoys texting as a medium, they will find the time to text a person if they're really into them. Especially if it's about specific plans. It's just as easy, on the flip side, to ignore a voice mail if not really interested.

I have seen my daughter have a hard time getting a hold of one of her friends...I often have to suggest that she call their home phone if they won't answer a text. It never occurs to them!  Also then the person pays attention to the entire conversation and is not distracted.

Text notification is a one time sound   and can get lost, like an e-mail surrounded by a page of not so important stuff.
However, his time and tone provided the answer.
