I am another one who donates on Freecycle. I now put in my listings," Pick up only, I rarely go out and can not meet you anywhere. "

In my case they usually want me to drive 15 or more mile to meet them. Never works out.

I have been putting in my listing that if the item isn't picked up within 3 hours of telling me they'll be here, the item will go to the next person in line.  Cuts down on the number of no shows I previously had by 90%.  I also keep a list of prior no shows and don't contact them if they respond to my ads.

But now I'm going in a different direction.  DS joined a hacker lab.  No - it's not what the term is normaly used for. DS likes it so much DH is joining next month.  So the stuff we would normaly Freecycle is now going on the Freebie shelf at the hacker lab.  More convenient and points for the geeky males I love.
