It seems like all the pictures of the kitties are of them sleeping, so I attempted to take some today of them when they're NOT sleeping, and it proved harder than I thought it would.  They just can't stay still long enough for me to get a decent shot of them!

This is the best I could do today.  At least they're not in motion!

Sweet fluffy kittens!

Stray Kitten went to a new home a couple of days ago.  A girl about 12 and her mother came to see him and fell in love.  :)  I'm happy that he has a forever home, but I miss his soft little body drowsing and purring on my computer desk to keep me company.  :-\

I'm glad that sweet little guy got a good home.  Nothing is more adorable to me than a kitten.

It's been 2 weeks, and the kitties are doing really good.  We decided we want to start introducing them to "downstairs living" but we know they can't be allowed to roam freely just yet.  So we set up their pen, bought duplicates of pretty much everything, and now they are going to be spending their days downstairs with me, where I can see them and interact with them, and their nights in the kitty room, where they can't get into trouble.

It appears we might have to swap out the smaller kitty climber for the larger one in the picture.  Tiger climbed to the very top and, channeling the Spirit of the Flying Squirrel, managed to leap to the couch, almost making another Great Escape.  So we moved the tallest part to the middle of the pen (which is bigger than it looks in this picture) and now we'll just wait and see if she tries it again.

So far, they seem to be enjoying their new toys!

As a frequent kitten-caretaker...that pen is still holding those kittens?  My last few would have knocked the whole thing over by now!

The most likely kitten reaction to that pen would be, "Challenge accepted."

They have been pretty mellow so far.  I imagine they'll get wilder, though, as they get more accustomed to it.  So far they have been most active at night, chasing after each other, knocking things over, being really noisy.  They sleep A LOT during the day.  At night we are putting them back in the kitty room.  Maybe they'll stay contented in the pen just long enough that they aren't spooked by every little noise they hear down here.  I just want them to acclimate to this part of the house.  It's bigger, noisier, much more active.  When we've had them down here before, their run and hide instincts kicked in and we had to search for them.  It took hours to find them!  Going slowly this time, and expanding their world bit by bit.  Hopefully it will work!
