There are girl tuxedos at the shelter all the time, so I don't think it was a stretch, and it can definitely be hard to tell with little kittens! We had a long-haired big-kitten foster here for weeks and we thought "she" was a girl the whole time, when she went in for her spay surgery it turned out she couldn't be spayed because she was a boy, LOL. (He got neutered instead, obviously.) He did have long fur and nice litter box manners so I never actually looked at his bits, but we were pretty surprised when we found out!

We had a family meeting and decided that there's no way we are going to be able to call this kitty anything but Sissy.  Just like we couldn't stop calling the other kitty Tiger after we found out she was a girl.  So, his name is Sissy.  That's MR. Sissy, if you please.  :)

Or Sisyphus... :)
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.

I think Sissy is adorable.

Then again, this is coming from a girl who's family could never figure out what to name the kitten besides "Kitty Cat" so she eternally became "K.C."

Or, if he's as vain as cats generally are, Narcissus.

Or if he's a talker, after the Roman Senator Cicero.

I'm so happy the kitties are doing well!  Regarding the latest update, when you first posted the pictures, I almost said then that I had a feeling the black and white kitty would turn out to be a boy.  When I was in junior high school, we adopted a beautiful tuxedo kitten and named her Pandora.  Well, after the first vet visit, we had to change the name to Panda, because she was actually a he.  Of course not all tuxies are boys, but the picture of your kitten reminded me so much of Panda, I just had a feeling that she was really a he.  Panda lived to a ripe old age and was a really good cat, except he decided he preferred the neighbors house two houses down and pretty much lived there most of the time.  They didn't have any other cats, and he didn't care much for the feline competition at our house.

My Sassy looks very much like Venus' Carmen but without the white on her face.  So another person with a female 'classic' tuxie :)

And I love the idea of 'That's MR. Sissy to you!'
I have CDO.  It is like OCD but with the letters in alphabetical order, as they should be.

I used to have a female tuxedo named Berkeley (she made speeches and had no respect for private property).
Using a chainsaw is as close as we come to having a lightsaber in this life.

And that is why Frank the cat is still called Frank when she should be called Francine.  Long hair can disguise many things or cause stuff to look
like "things" :-[

Tiger Kitty and Sissy Cat (now known as "Buddy") are now 13 weeks old!  Last week we they had their 12 week portrait done.  :)

It is ridiculous how much we love these kitties.

They are sooooo beautiful! Are they are settled in? Do they race around the house, wake you up at dark o'clock for breakfast, purr, play madly? Tell us all!
