Trivia Night at My Place

If you were invited to a night of trivia games what would you want to munch on?

I've got 8 guests coming. I want something more special than chips and dip and I'd like to make several options for folks both sweet and savory.

Drinks will be hot punch  coffee, wine, beer, iced tea and water.

Other than a plate of Christmas cookies, I haven't given it any thought.

Actually, onion rings are sounding mysteriously good. (Horseradish sauce?)

The recipe calls for regular dinner rolls but it's even more delicious if you use the Hawaiian sweet rolls. It is seriously such a good snack that I look for chances to make them. I'm even making a batch in Christmas Day!!

Aside from those, I'd do maybe deviled eggs, homemade potato skins, mini crab cakes, cheese. & crackers, veggies & dip, spinach artichoke dip, cookies, cupcakes, crockpot meatballs...gosh, can you tell I'm hungry?

If it is post dinner time, I'd want lighter items.

Feta cheese drizzled with honey and black pepper and some crackers.

I'm addicted to the sauce at Burger Kind.  So bad for you, but so good with onion rings.

I saw an appetizer of egg salad on little pieces of rye bread that looked good to me.  People might actually like deviled eggs, too.

If it were very cold you might think about serving some cups of soup.

Thanks for the help, everyone. The nuts do look good. And easier to make than spiced nuts.

Egg salad sounds refreshing for some reason. I did think about soup. I could do chili. Thick enough to be scooped with those large Fritos.

I do think I'll make something similar to crock pot meatballs. I have a great recipe for sausage balls made with hot sausage, Bisquik and cheddar that's easy and very popular.

My problem is, I love finger foods and could make way too much.
