They did see the in laws for Christmas Eve, but FIL stayed quiet and didn't interact much with Taylor (read: pouted) and grumbled about "not being able to say anything."

"No FIL, You aren't allowed to say anything mean to Taylor. We hope you will say lots of nice things to everybody"
