I haven't actually made this recipe yet, but I'm planning on making it after Christmas when my parents are in town:
Apple Cinnamon French Toast Pudding:
Ingredients:
-16 oz. (or enough to fill your baking dish) raisin swirl bread (Pepperidge Farm). I use half white and half wheat.
-3 cups milk or 2 cups egg nogg
-7 eggs slightly beaten
-1 cup of sugar
-3 teaspoons of cinnamon
-2 large green apples, peeled cored and thinly sliced
-maple syrup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place bread crumbs in 9x13 or similair baking dish. Combine eggs, milk/egg nogg, half of the sugar, half of the cinnamon in a bowl and mix well. Pour half of the mixture in the bread crumbs. Top with apples and replace with the remaining mixture. Mix remaining cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle on top. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Drizzle syrup on top (optional).
