I haven't actually made this recipe yet, but I'm planning on making it after Christmas when my parents are in town:

Apple Cinnamon French Toast Pudding:

Ingredients:
-16 oz. (or enough to fill your baking dish) raisin swirl bread (Pepperidge Farm). I use half white and half wheat.
-3 cups milk or 2 cups egg nogg
-7 eggs slightly beaten
-1 cup of sugar
-3 teaspoons of cinnamon
-2 large green apples, peeled cored and thinly sliced
-maple syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place bread crumbs in 9x13 or similair baking dish. Combine eggs, milk/egg nogg, half of the sugar, half of the cinnamon in a bowl and mix well. Pour half of the mixture in the bread crumbs. Top with apples and replace with the remaining mixture. Mix remaining cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle on top. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Drizzle syrup on top (optional).

Xmas breakfast is a new tradition in my family, here is what we did last year

Scrambled eggs
Turkey Bacon
Chicken Apple Sausage
Potato Hash
Pancakes
various juices
Champagne for mixing with those juices

Do you have a recipe for chicken apple sausage?  My brother just gave up pork and pork products for health reasons, and I'd like to make sausage for breakfast for him.

This isn't the exact one I used, but it's really similar and I've always had good luck with recipes from this blog: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2012/08/baked-french-toast/

Our family (DH, me, our 4 children, their spouses and children) have a Breakfast For Supper buffet every year for our Christmas get-together. Each years menu is just a little different.

Last night's choices....

Baked French toast
Mixed fruit cup
Scrambled eggs
Sausage and Biscuit
Cinnamon rolls (cooked in a waffle iron)
Jelly tarts
Sausage rolls
Bacon
Assorted juices
Coffee

My grocery store carries it.  See if yours has a specialty sausage section in the meat department.
You must remember this: a ghoti is still a fish...

Thanks. My store does carry it, but I had been hoping to make some fresh. As it turns out, my brother didn't make it for breakfast so I went with bacon instead.  :)
