Best Brand of Frozen Meatballs
« on: December 21, 2012, 11:12:33 AM »
This year I have to take some shortcuts for the holiday meals due to a disability.  I'm looking to make sweet n sour meatballs but want to use frozen to help with the process.  I've had several frozen types that are just not good, anyone know of a good brand?

We use Caesars.  They are frozen.  They might be a bit large for sweet and sour, tho.  Aren't the sweet and sour meatballs a bit smaller like swedish meatballs?

We mostly buy the turkey ones from Trader Joe's, which are very good (unless you don't like turkey.)

Sweet n sour can be any size, but I'd prefer to use the smaller sizes since it is being planned as an appetizier.  I will keep an eye for Caesars though, it's nice to have options, thanks!

Mrgnsgirl, thanks!  I totally forgot about Trader Joe's.

There are these ones my boss buys at Sam's Club. I don't even know the brand. But they're surprisingly awesome.

I always have a bag of IKEA's swedish meatballs in the freezer.

I don't know if you have Giant Eagle stores where you are, but their store brand of meatballs is surprisingly good.
Sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here.

I use the Food Lion brand meatballs. I've tried some name-brands, but I like these better.   I've even gotten compliments on them when I made the chili sauce + grape jelly meatballs.
