Here's my version:
Your party invitation arrived two weeks ago; I said “yes” to the RSVP
On the second day after you then said to me “bring a dish for ten and thanks for the RSVP”
On the third day after you then said to me “bring your own liquor, bring a dish for ten, and thanks for the RSVP”
Day 4: No shoes in my house
Day 5: "Please bring floor pillows- we're low on chairs."
Day 6: "Oh, and Sally and Joe will be riding with you."
Day 7: "Please bring a beeswax candle in a holder."
Day 8: "Our theme is Orange Madness, so wear something orange!"
Day 9: "And bring some oranges."
Day 10: "My cousin's MIL is coming, please pick her up at the airport and bring her- can she stay with you? Thanks so much."
Day 11: "Check out our registry online- we want a swimming pool!"
On the twelfth day after I took a deep breath and changed my RSVP.
