Would you call again?

On Friday, I missed a call from someone responding to my application for an open position. I was moving and I got the call at the end of the day, so I called her back Monday morning.
Her voicemail said she'd be out of the office on Monday.

Haven't heard back from her at all so far this week and it's now Thursday.

Would you call her back one more time just to be sure she didn't miss the message? Or is it too pushy as a job applicant to do this? I'd hate to have the opportunity fall through the cracks if she didn't get my original voicemail.

Call back!  You can always just mention that you're still just wanting to return the original call.

I think you're safe to call once more.  If they don't respond after the second call I would assume the position was filled.

I agree, call back. I am always amazed how being out one day throws my entire week off, so calling again would ensure that you didn't get lost in the shuffle.

It was funny - I was just about to call her back when she called me, so issue resolved. Thanks for the advice, though - I'm never sure if I'm being too pushy or hounding someone and I don't want to come across too aggressively.
