My recipe for sweet tea (warning: I like it very sweet)
Start with three tea bags of any variety (I find one flavored tea bag, such as raspberry, and two black or green "standard" tea bags to be a good combination). In a small pot of water, boil the tea bags in about a 24 ounces of water for at least ten minutes. When the tea is finished boiling, strain into a large (at least two quart) pitcher, add 1 cup of sugar, mix well. When the sugar is completely dissolved, add one tray of ice cubes (fourteen standard sized cubes), and stir until the ice is completely melted. Then add cold water until you have two quarts (if you don't have measuring cups, you may need to figure out where on your pitcher two quarts is), and refrigerate overnight.
Green text is optional, but will shorten the actual amount of refrigeration needed.
