What clothing item would you grab and why??
« on: January 06, 2007, 02:16:07 PM »
Here is the hypothetical scenario:

You are in the position to only grab only one clothing/shoe/accessory item out of all that you own to save, and everything else will be gone. Could be due to a fire, natural disaster, whatever.

What item would you take, and why?

I would grab my UGG boots. One, they're the most expensive clothing item I own, I always buy very cheap cltohes. And two, practicality. They're just so comfortable, warm, pretty, and versatile. You can wear them with just about anything.

I would grab a pair of my khaki maternity pants. They fit wonderfully during pregnancy and work well afterward too...:)

I think I'd have to take my steel-toed shoes. I need them for work, but they are also the most comfy pair of shoes I own. :)
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.

My sheepskin clogs. I got them on sale for $20.00 last week, and I don't think I'm gonna run into another bargain like that again. ;D Plus they're comfy, warm and suited to nearly any environment.

My brand-new Union Jack t-shirt would run a close second, though. Anglophile and Australophile that I am, it'd be a tough choice!

My Reef flipflops. Some women collect Manolo Blahniks... I collect Reefs. If I don't have at least one pair on me, I would have to go barefoot.

Depends, my first thought was my black Adrian Vittadi (sp?) suit because it fits so perfectly, then I thought if I had nothing else to wear and had to be stuck in the same outfit I'd got for one of my sweatsuits.

The most colorful, bizarre, attention-getting hat I have, so in case that's all I have on no one will notice anything else.

Really, if I were already fully dressed, I would take my sweatshirt because I'm always cold.
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.

My blue crushed stretch velvet skirt. It's gorgeous, fits like a dream, and is both machine washable and tumble dry. Oh and it makes me feel beautiful every time I put it on. But my tweed flat cap with the spangles and beads would be a very close second. I feel naked without a hat.

This did more or less happen when my family's house caught fire.  After it was put out by the fire department, I grabbed my glasses.
I'm away from sanity right now...please leave a message after the beep.

I'd grab the national costume I inherited from my great-aunt. She made the cloth for the skirt herself and sewed the whole costume. It's completely irreplacable and the emotional value is huge.

I would have to take the quilt Cop had someone make for  me when I first moved here.  Not only for sentimental value, but it's warm.
